FAQ
Everything you need to know about ordering and caring for your Wallis Atelier pieces.
-
How long will my order take?
Each Wallis Atelier piece is made to order, allowing us to create your jewellery specifically for you rather than holding large quantities of finished stock.
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for your piece to be completed before dispatch. Personalised or more complex pieces may require a little longer.
Once your piece is complete, you’ll receive confirmation and tracking details when it is on its way.
Can I make changes after placing my order?
If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible. As each piece is made to order, changes may not be possible once production has begun.
I need my piece by a particular date. What should I do?
Please contact us before ordering if you require your piece by a particular date. We’ll let you know whether we can accommodate your timeframe.
-
What materials do you use?
Wallis Atelier works with solid gold, sterling silver, diamonds and carefully selected natural gemstones. The materials and stones used in each piece are detailed on the individual product page.
Do you use natural or lab-grown diamonds?
We work with both natural and lab-grown diamonds, depending on the design. The diamond type used in each piece is specified on the individual product page.
Are your diamonds certified?
Larger diamonds may be accompanied by an independent IGI grading report, where specified on the product page. Smaller diamonds used within our designs generally do not include individual grading reports.
Will natural gemstones vary?
Yes. Natural gemstones may vary slightly in colour, tone and character. These natural variations are part of what makes each stone individual.
-
How do I find my ring size?
For the most accurate fit, we recommend having your finger professionally measured by a jeweller before ordering.
Ring fit can vary depending on the width and shape of the design, so if you’re unsure about your size, please contact us before placing your order.
Can my ring be resized?
Some Wallis Atelier rings may be resized depending on the design, stone placement and amount of adjustment required.
Please contact us with details of your piece and we can assess whether resizing is possible. Fees may apply.
-
How does Chapter work?
Chapter allows you to create a ring around the gemstones you choose.
Select stones to represent people, moments or birth months, or simply choose colours you are drawn to. Your chosen stones are individually selected and flush set into your ring, creating a piece that is uniquely yours.
Do my Chapter stones have to be birthstones?
No. Birthstones are simply one way to create your Chapter.
You are welcome to choose stones for their meaning, colour or simply because you love them. There are no prescribed combinations.
-
How should I care for my jewellery?
Fine jewellery will naturally develop signs of wear over time. We recommend removing your jewellery before swimming, exercising or using household chemicals, and storing pieces separately when they are not being worn.
Some gemstones require more delicate care than others. If you’re unsure how best to care for your piece, please contact us.
Do you offer repairs?
Yes. Repairs are assessed individually depending on the piece and the work required.
Please contact us with details and photographs of your piece and we’ll advise you on the next steps.
-
When will my order be shipped?
As Wallis Atelier pieces are made to order, your piece will be dispatched once it has been completed.
You’ll receive confirmation and tracking details by email when your order is on its way.
Can I request an urgent order?
If you need a piece by a particular date, please contact us before ordering. We’ll let you know whether we can accommodate your timeframe.
-
Can I return or exchange my order?
Eligible pieces may be returned or exchanged for change of mind within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unworn and in their original condition.
Personalised, customised and Chapter pieces cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind. For hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned or exchanged for change of mind.
This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
What if there is a problem with my piece?
